As a kid, Halloween was the best (even for adults, right?) Parties with apple bobbing, eating cider donuts off of strings and spooky spiderwebs, a million houses with free candy, and permission to yell, “trick or treat!”
Everyone knew which house gave out full-sized candy bars and which promoted dental health with toothpaste and floss. Some had the best candy and some had the absolute worst, but it was only a matter of time before those plastic orange jack-o'-lanterns were full to bursting.
No matter what, by the end of the night you’d negotiate and swap your least favorite candy for your most favorite, whether it was full of peanuts, coconut, or coated in sour sugar. A mild stomachache was almost mandatory, but the thrill of coming home from school to a stocked candy cabinet made it all worth the trouble.
This year, go back to your roots with fully nostalgic cocktails that marry those warm candy memories with a kick of pure adult. There’s something for everyone from fruity gummies to chocolate indulgences, and maybe even a stamp of approval from your local dental hygiene enthusiast. Fun-sized has never been more fun.
